Founder & CEO – Lead Mountain Guide
Archil Tsintsadze (Achi)
Achi TOURS was founded in 2002 in Freiburg, Germany, by Archil Tsintsadze, an IFMGA/IVBV-certified mountain and ski guide and accomplished hydrologist-engineer, born in Tbilisi in 1972. As one of Georgia’s most respected mountaineers, Achi has spent his life mapping every corner of this diverse and breathtaking country. He is quite literally a living map of Georgia—its trails, peaks, rivers, hidden valleys, and local traditions.
Achi co-founded the Georgian Mountain Guides Association (GMGA) in 1991 and later established the Adventure Tourism School (ATS), Georgia’s premier institution for training professional mountain guides. Through his work as an educator and mentor, he has trained and certified many of the guides some of whom now lead tours under the Achi TOURS name—each one instilled with Achi’s own commitment to safety, precision, and deep respect for Georgia’s natural beauty.
Having dedicated years to shaping the foundations of Georgia’s guiding infrastructure, Achi is now focusing on what he loves most: personally guiding travellers into Georgia’s most awe-inspiring landscapes.
