Starting with cultural gems like Mtskheta and ancient Rustavi, the tour dives into the untamed lands of Vashlovani National Park, home to rare birds, mud volcanoes, and views that feel more African than Caucasian. Along the way, visit vineyards in Kakheti, walk through remote gorges, and enjoy home-cooked meals in family-run lodges. A perfect choice for explorers seeking something truly off the beaten path.

8-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Tbilisi
Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport. Transfer to hotel and check-in.
Overnight in Tbilisi (hotel)
Day 2 – Tbilisi & Mtskheta
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide for a morning walking tour of Tbilisi’s historic old town (approx. 3–4 hours). In the afternoon, drive to Jvari Monastery and explore the ancient capital Mtskheta – both UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Dinner in Mtskheta and return to Tbilisi.

Day 3 – Into the Semi-Desert
Tour 1: Tbilisi – Rustavi – Udabno – Sabereebi Monasteries – Iori floodplains – Mud volcanoes – Dali Reservoir.
Overnight in the region (family hotel)
Day 4 – Chachuna Nature Reserve & Eldari Lowlands
Tour 2: Visit Chachuna Reserve, Pantishara Canyon, the “Swallow City” cave dwellings, and ascend to the panoramic viewpoint. Return via the Eldari semi-desert and lowlands to reach the remote border village of Mijniskure.
Overnight in Mijniskure (local lodges)
Day 5 – Steppe & Wine Country
Tour 3: Mijniskure – Black Mountain – Shiraki Plain – Dedoplistskaro – Sighnaghi.
Overnight in Sighnaghi (hotel)
Day 6 – Kakheti Wine Region
Tour 4: Explore Kakheti’s classical wine route, with monastery visits, scenic drives, and a traditional Georgian supra (feast) with wine tasting in the evening.
Overnight in Telavi (private accommodation)
Day 7 – Return via Tianeti
Tour 5: Kakheti – Tianeti – Zhinvali Reservoir – Tbilisi.
Free evening in the capital.
